Dosage for 1 honey super frame: 20 ml. of the already diluted solution.
Dosage for 1 nest frame: 40 ml.
The 120ml pack treats 60 super or 60 nest combs.
B403, also known as Certan, is a biological product for the prevention of wax moths on stored frames.
B403 uses Bacillus thuringiensis (Bt), a naturally occurring bacterium that kills wax moths in their larval stage.
This bacterium produces protein crystals that, once ingested by moths, break the intestinal walls, causing their death within 24 hours of application.
When to use B 403?
At the end of the harvest, after the bees have cleaned the honey supers and before storing them in the warehouse.
The protection will last until the honey supers are placed the following year.
For the preservation of honeycombs in all possible situations.
How to prepare B 403?
B 403 CERTAN consists of spores of Bacillus thuringiensis and must be diluted to 10% in water.
Shake the B 403 bottle vigorously before mixing.
Once diluted, B 403 must be used within 24 hours.
It is therefore advisable to prepare only the quantity necessary based on the number of frames to be treated.
